Hien immigrated to the United States in 1992 from her native Vietnam and became a U.S citizen in 2008. She speaks fluent Vietnamese for our Vietnamese patients. She graduated with a degree in dental hygiene from St. Louis Community College and has been a practicing hygienist for 20 years. 16 of those years have been spent with South St. Louis Dental Group. Hien takes special pride in her dedication to educating our patients in proper oral hygiene and how it affects overall health. Her interests outside the office include cooking, participating in church activities, swimming, yoga and fitness. Like so many people from St. Louis, Hien is a fan of the Blues and Cardinals.
Ginny graduated from Forest Park Community College as a certified dental assistant in 1980. She has been a receptionist for South St. Louis Dental Group since 1997. Ginny is married and has two grown sons. Her hobbies include reading, cooking and traveling.
Felicia graduated from Forest Park Community College as a Certified Dental Assistant with Expanded Functions. She has worked as a dental assistant for 12 years at our office. She has been blessed with two great children(one boy and one girl) that are now teenagers. Outside of work Felicia enjoys roller skating, bowling, shopping, and family time. You will see her around the office helping her team members provide optimum dental care.
JoAnn is a 1976 graduate of Rosati-Kain High School. She received her certificate in dental assisting from St. Louis Community College in 1980 and worked in our practice until 1982 when she began a family. JoAnn returned many years later in 1999 as our bookkeeper. She is now an integral part of the front office staff and has been our receptionist for the last eleven years. She is married and has three daughters. In her free time she enjoys reading, camping and traveling the United
Sally was a certified dental assistant for seven years before graduating from St. Louis Community College Dental Hygiene Program. She has been a dental hygienist for 20 years - entirely at South St. Louis Dental Group. Born and raised in St. Louis, she currently resides in Oakville with her husband, four teenage children (1 boy, 3 girls), and dog Jessie. Country music is her favorite but will listen to mostly anything while singing the wrong lyrics. Sally will save a turtle crossing the street and has a soft spot for cuddly animals of all kinds. Her top priority is any vacation outdoors; while close runner-ups are family time, and peace and quiet. As a dental hygienist, Sally is continuously expanding her dental education. Through comprehensive care, Sally is committed to helping patients achieve optimal oral and systemic health.
Rhea is a life long St. Louis resident. After attending high school at Clayton, she graduated from the Midwest Institute for dental assisting in 1981. She has worked with us at South St. Louis Dental Group since 1997, treating our patients like family. In her spare time, she is busy with her 21 nieces and nephews.
Robin is a lifelong St. Louis resident who has provided care for South St. Louis Dental Group since 1995. A Bishop DuBourg High School, Fontbonne, and St. Louis Community College graduate she enjoys helping you achieve and maintain good oral and general health. As a Type 1 Diabetic she is a good resource for all of our diabetic patients. She, her husband Jay and two adult daughters like the outdoors, cooking, traveling and cheering on the Cardinals and Blues.
Ruth graduated from the dental hygiene program at St. Louis Community College in 1976. Upon graduation she received the Missouri Dental Hygienist’s Association Outstanding Dental Hygiene Graduate award for Excellence in Clinical Performance, Patient Control and Professionalism. She has spent twelve of her thirty-five years as a hygienist at South St. Louis Dental Group. Her free time is spent largely enjoying time with her family. She is married and has been blessed with six children and two grandchildren.
Dawn is a 1993 graduate of Lindbergh High school. In 2000, Dawn received her Dental Hygiene degree from Trident Technical College in Charleston, SC. Dawn enjoys making connections with patients to help ease their dental anxiety and provide education to help patients keep their smile healthy for life. In her time away from the office, she enjoys outdoor adventures and traveling with her husband and adult children.
Zala has been practicing dental hygiene since 2013. Her goal as a hygienist is to provide optimum care for all patients. She enjoys taking part in improving patients’ oral hygiene. Outside of the office, Zala enjoys cooking, photography, and decorating.
